CabriO Stanserhorn ticket

No discounts are available for young people.

Children aged at least 6 and under 16 pay 50% if a parent or adult purchases a full-price ticket and does not have an STS pass. If one parent holds a valid STS pass, they are entitled to a 50% discount and children go free with the Swiss Family Card. STS passes are the Swiss Travel Pass, Swiss Travel Pass Flex and the Swiss Half Fare Card.

No, there is no discount for senior citizens.

When ordering, you must enter a specific date on our website on which you would like to go on the excursion. You are therefore bound by this date and cannot change it flexibly.

Tickets will only be fully refunded if you have taken out the FLEX CANCELLATION OPTION and if they are cancelled at least 1 day before travel. You can add the FLEX CANCELLATION OPTION for payment protection in the final step of the checkout process before payment.

If you have not taken out the Flex Cancellation Option, a cancellation fee of CHF 30 will be charged, and a fee of CHF 60 will apply if the cancellation is made between 1 and 3 days prior to travel. You can find more information about our cancellation policy here.

Once the purchase is complete, you will receive an e-ticket by e-mail. This e-ticket is already a valid ticket. E-tickets are personal and non-transferable. They are only valid in conjunction with a valid passport or ID card. The details on the passport or ID card must match the details on the e-ticket. You can present the e-ticket directly on your smartphone or tablet so that the QR code can be scanned by the ticket inspector. You can also save the e-ticket in the wallet on your mobile device. Alternatively, you can print out the ticket on white paper in its original size and present it for inspection.

The ticket includes a return trip on the CabriO cable car from Stans to the Stanserhorn, plus entry to the marmot park.

It is not possible to reserve seats.

The trip from Stans to the Stanserhorn alone takes around 25 minutes each way. The journey begins with the historic funicular railway from Stans to the Kälti midway station (around 10 minutes). From there, you board the CabriO cable car and travel up the Stanserhorn, which takes about 10 minutes.

Once there, it depends on how long you want to enjoy the view (depending on the weather), whether you want to plan a hike (hikes of 30 minutes to 4 hours are possible) or enjoy the food and drink on offer.

The funicular railway and cable car run every 30 minutes from 12.04.-23.11.2025. The exact departure times can be found in the timetable.
