Matterhorn Glacier Paradise ticket

Children under 9 travel free of charge.

Children aged at least 9 and under 16 receive a 50% reduction. Children travel free with the Junior Travelcard/Children’s Co-Travelcard/Swiss Family Card when accompanied by a parent or family member. Please note that tickets for the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise for children are not available for purchase on our website. They can be purchased at the sales point on site.

No, there is no discount for senior citizens.

When ordering, you must enter a specific date on our website on which you would like to go on the excursion. You are therefore bound by this date and cannot change it flexibly.

Tickets will only be fully refunded if you have taken out the FLEX CANCELLATION OPTION and if they are cancelled at least 1 day before travel. You can add the FLEX CANCELLATION OPTION for payment protection in the final step of the checkout process before payment.

If you have not taken out the Flex Cancellation Option, a cancellation fee of CHF 30 will be charged, and a fee of CHF 60 will apply if the cancellation is made between 1 and 3 days prior to travel. You can find more information about our cancellation policy here.

Once the purchase is complete, you will receive an e-voucher by e-mail. You must exchange the e-voucher for a valid ticket at the ticket office before you can start your journey with the mountain railway.

The ticket includes a ride on the gondola, the Glacier Palace and the Cinema Lounge.

It is not possible to reserve seats.

The gondola ride alone takes about 45 minutes each way, and you have to change twice. You travel from Zermatt with the Matterhorn Express to Furi. From there, the next gondola takes you to Trockener Steg. The final gondola – the Matterhorn Glacier Ride – then takes you to the summit of the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise.
Once there, it depends on how long you want to enjoy the view (depending on the weather), whether you want to take advantage of the indoor activities (cinema, Ice Palace) or the food and drink on offer. You can easily spend 3 to 4 hours there.
